A Suggestion to Those Who say “Pehle Khud Amal Karo Phir Dusro Ko Dawat Do”.

Aaj Kal Deen Se Nawaaqif Logo Me Yeh Baat Kasrat Se Paayi Jaarahi Hai Ke Jab Unke Saamne Koi Deeni Wa Targheebi Baat Ki Jaati Hai Toh Fauran Kehte Hai Ke Islam Me Pehle Khud Amal Karna Hai Aur Phir Dusra Bataana Hai.

Ya Is Tarah Bhi Kehte Hai Ke “Pehle Khud Amal Karo Phir Dusro Ko Dawa’t Do”.

Algarz Kam Ilmi Ki Wajeh Log Is Tarah Ki Nadaani Ki Baat Karte Hai Lekin Daraasal Baat Yeh Hai Ke Agar Insaan Koshish Kar Raha Hai Deen Par Amal Karne Ki, Lekin Phir Bhi Usse Kotaahiya Horahi Hai.

Toh Aisi Surat Me Wo Shaks Deen Ki Dawat Desakta Hai Balke Huzur SAW Ne Aise Shaks Bhalaayi Ka Hukum Aur Buraayi Se Bachne Ki Talqeen Wa Nasihat Ki Hai.

A Connection With Allah Cannot Be Established Merely From Books.

Many things are are not acquired merely from books but rather they are acquired through listening.  For example, a mother teaches her infant the proper way of addressing its father by telling the child, “Say dad, say dad.”  Similarly when one sits with the Ahlullah, their ears secretly steal.

They listen to the nice things told to them and take it all in.  Then the ears of their soul hear and this enables their souls to proclaim the zikr of Allah by saying “Allah, Allah!”  The mother wants that her child learn to say “dad” quickly so that when the child lifts its small hands up and says “dad”, then that will stir up a great sense of mercy within the father.

Likewise, the Prophets (AS) and awliyaa’ desire that the servants of Allah quickly learn to say “Rabba” so that their Rabba enshrouds them with His mercy.

In a similar vein, think of this that the child whose mother passes away, is not able to call out to its father by saying “dad” because the mother is not present to teach the child to do so.

Therefore, it is imperative that one considers one’s spiritual guide and the life of the spiritual guide a blessing and learn from him how to properly call out to our Rabba, otherwise after the passing of the spiritual guide, one will not be able to say Rabba later.

-Hazrat Maulana Shah Hakeem Akhtar Rahmatullahi Alai.

A Blessing or Punishment ?

Sometimes, a sickness, disease, etc. comes in the form of a blessing and sometimes in the form of an Azaab (punishment). For a Mu’min, it is a blessing and mercy if it causes him to turn towards Allah Ta’ala.

I will conclude with an incident that occurred a few years ago. I went to visit a person who was suffering from cancer. On entering his room, I found him surrounded by 3 television sets – one to his right, one to his left and one in front of him. This was, indeed, very surprising … a sick person in extreme pain who could well be in his last moments, in such a situation.

On inquiry, his relatives explained, that due to his being confined to bed, it became necessary to turn him in these 3 positions; sometimes left, sometimes right, otherwise flat on his back. The 3 sets were placed in such a manner so that he would not miss any part of the program being watched.

If in that sickness, which was meant to have brought us to the door of Allah Ta’ala, we continue to indulge in sins and more so, then who do we blame for the problems which we thereafter have to face?

May Allah Ta’ala protect us all from loosing trust and faith in Him.

Sab Se Qawi Kaun ?

Ek Martabah Aap (Imam e Azam Rh. )Se Kisi Raafzi Ne Poocha, “Sab Logon Se Zyadah Qawi Kaun Hai.?”

Imam Abu Haneefah (Rah.) Ne Farmaya: “Hamaare Nazdeek To Hazrat Ali (Raz.) Ke Unhone Jaan Liya Ke Khilafat Hazrat Abu Bakar (Raz.) Ka Haqq Hai To Is Ko Un Ke Suprad Kar Diya Aur

Tum Logon Ke Nazdeek Sab Se Zyadah Qawi Hazrat Abu Bakar (Raz.) Hain Jinhone Ba-Qoul Tumhaare Ali (Raz.) Se Khilafat Ko Jabran Chheen Liya Aur Hazrat Ali (Raz.) Un Se Le Na Sake.” Ye Jawab Sun Kar Wo Raafzi (Shia) La-Jawab Ho Gaya.

Tips to Wake up for Fajr.

Tips to Wake up for Fajr :

Twelve Tips to Wake up for Fajr in the Light of Qur’an, Hadith and the Teachings of Our Elders

1. To supplicate to Allah with the following رب اجعلني مقيم الصلوة و من ذريتي ربنا و تقبل دعاء

ربنا اغفرلي ولوالدي وللمؤمنين يوم يقوم الحساب

By the blessings of this du’a, Insha Allah you and your children will be granted the ability to be punctual with your prayers.

2. If it’s convenient then to take a nap in the afternoon which is also a sunnah and aids in causing a person to wake up for Fajr.

3. To have dinner early and to not overeat. Mawlana Thanwi (RA) has written that when a person eats, there comes a moment where a question arises in his mind should I continue eating or quit? The moment this question arises, a person should stop eating.

4. To not drink water before going to sleep unless there is a dire need to do so and if so, then to drink a small amount.

5. To go to sleep early otherwise the above-mentioned points will be of no benefit.

6. To perform those acts which are sunnah prior to going to sleep, refer to Beautiful Sunnahs of the Beloved Nabi (S), by Hazrat Mawlana Shah Hakeem Muhammad Akhtar Sahib (DB).

7. Prior to going to sleep tell someone to wake you up for Fajr.

8. To use an alarm clock and to put it at such a distance that one has to get up and out of their bed and walk to turn it off, by doing so the stupor of sleep will wear off.

9. To recite verse number 127 of Surah Baqarah or the last four verses of Surah Kahf before going to sleep. By reciting these verses if a person intends to wake up at a particular time, Insha Allah one will wake up on that time.

10. Immediately upon waking up, to sufficiently rub your eyes according to the sunnah, this too will cause the effects of sleep to wear off.

11. If possible, upon waking up after wiping ones’ face with ones’ hands recite verses 190-194 of Surah Al-Imran. This is also a sunnah. ‘Ulema have written that through their experience this practice also causes the effects of sleep to go away.

12. Upon awakening from ones sleep, using ones strength and willpower immediately stand up. Never fall victim to the ploy of ones nafs that I will wake up in a little while otherwise one will miss their salaah.
